Cornwall's museums have six weeks of fun planned for the summer holidays, with a different line up of activities on offer at each museum.

The Royal Cornwall Museum has the full size interactive Bloodhound model car, from the supersonic testing, on display throughout the summer until October 29. Families can learn about this magnificent feat of engineering, and various other activities will also be taking place at the museum.

Falmouth Art Gallery’s summer show, Wreck and Ruin, has plenty of free events and activities on offer, including a session with Beano cartoonist, Nick Brennan, on Wednesday, August 10 from 11am to 3pm.

To celebrate its heritage, The Telegraph Museum in Porthcurno is hosting interactive physics shows with hands-on experiments on the beach exploring electricity, magnetism and light until Friday, July 29 from 11.30am to 12.30pm, and also from 1.30pm to 2.30pm.

Penlee House Gallery & Museum are starting the summer with the festival of archaeology, with events and activities including model making and coin designing. There are also guided walks planned to explore the monuments of prehistoric Penwith.

The free family activities Penlee House Gallery & Museum will take place every Saturday throughout the summer from 2.30pm to 3.30pm. Free family art afternoons will also be held every Wednesday from July 27 to August 31 from 1.30pm to 3.30pm.
