Get closer to nature this summer with a barefoot walk at Godolphin House, as part of the National Trust's outdoor adventures.
Visitors can enjoy feeling the grass between their toes, along with a feast of other textures for the feet on the specially made barefoot trail of wood, mud, stone, slate and fabric.
There will also be yoga, Tai Chi and arts and crafts available during the event at the National Trust property, where participants can also try creating their own barefoot walkway made of sticks and leaves.
Research commissioned for the National Trust revealed that children in the South West spend on average 4.4 hours per week outdoors, which is half the time spent playing outdoors that their parents did. These results are on par with the national findings.
The National Trust has various summer events to inspire children throughout the South West to get outdoors and start an adventure in nature.
The barefoot festival will take place at Godolphin, near Helston, on Sunday, August 21 from 10am to 4pm.
There is no charge for the event, but normal admission charges apply.
