Families can enjoy time travelling adventures every day in August at Pendennis Castle.

Throughout the month, little history hunters will be entertained with a variety of events and activities, ranging from clashing knights to junior jousting, for a hands on experience.

The whole family can enjoy the summer programme packed with Tudor-themed fun and games as they go on a time travelling journey into Pendennis' Tudor past. The crew will be inspiring young minds with have-a-go activities where they can brush up on jousting and dancing skills, while uncovering the secrets of Tudor etiquette.

Every Tuesday and Wednesday throughout August, the castle's Grand Medieval joust will be taking centre stage as the armour clad chivalrous knights compete to prove their superior power and skills in a no-holds-barred medieval combat.

Alongside the all-action battles, tournament goers can also enjoy the medieval merriment of falconry displays, singing, dancing, have-a-go children’s combat sessions, a living history encampment, and some silliness from the castle jester.

Throughout August, the hands on history event will take place on Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays from 11am to 5pm, while the Grand Medieval joust will take place every Tuesday and Wednesday.

Pendennis Castle is open every day throughout the summer from 10am to 6pm.
