The Cornish seaside is a fascinating and beautiful place, full of treasures, so come Cornwall Wildlife Trust, Helford Marine Conservation Group and Frugi have organised an afternoon of rockpooling fun on Sunday, August 21.

Become a beach detective and join in a treasure hunt around the rockpools, with a fantastic Frugi prize from their Puddle Busting range for the best find.

There will also be a two minute beach clean to help do our bit to keep Cornwall’s shores litter free and help protect marine life.

Ruth Williams, marine conservation manager for Cornwall Wildlife Trust, said: “The Helford is home to some wonderful marine wildlife, with a fascinating hidden world of rockpools, crabs, fish, sea anemones and strange shellfish. We invite you to join us, to plunge in and explore this secret watery world.”

This special event has been organised in partnership with the trust’s wildlife partner, Frugi, a Helston-based organic children’s clothing company, as a huge thank you for their many years of support for the trust’s Living Seas marine conservation programme.

Ruth added: “We are delighted to put on this fun event in partnership with the Helford Marine Conservation Group who do such amazing work in the area, as well as to say a big thank you to Frugi for their incredible support over the past ten years.

Please come along and join us at Mawnan Smith Church car park for a gentle stroll along the coast path to some of the best rockpools in Cornwall.”
