BBC One's Antiques Roadshow is coming to Trelissick next week with many leading antiques and fine arts specialists on hand to offer free advice and valuations.

The ever-popular programme is inviting everyone to raid their attics and bring along family heirlooms, household treasures and car-boot sale bargains for inspection by the experts.

Antiques Roadshow presenter, Fiona Bruce, said: “If you are a fan of Antiques Roadshow, curious to see behind the scenes, or just fancy a day out, I would urge you to dig out your treasures and come along - we’d love to see you!”

Fascinating finds on the show last year included a jacket belonging to former US President JFK, a musical penknife valued at £80,000, a sketch believed to be by Picasso which was bought for a few pounds in a house clearance sale, and a precious toy panda that once flew with the Dambusters.

BBC One's Antiques Roadshow will be at Trelissick on Thursday, September 15 from 9.30am to 4.30pm.

The Roadshow is free, everyone is welcome and there is no need to buy tickets or pre-register.

If visitors have an item with a particularly unusual story attached or large items of furniture, they can inform the Roadshow in advance via the Share Your Story page online at bbc.co.uk/antiquesroadshow, or by calling 0117 974 2395 or emailing antiques.roadshow@bbc.co.uk.
