Cornwall Wildlife Trust's Open Gardens scheme is hosting its grand finale this weekend featuring a unique garden with a private beach.

Pedn Billy on the Helford Passage has been the Trust's most visited garden as part of this scheme for the past two years. It previously opened in the spring, but is now opening in the autumn with a new range of plants for visitors to admire.

One of Cornwall's most beautiful and unique gardens, Pedn Billy has wild flower areas, beautiful specimen trees and terraced borders. Half of the twelve acres are ancient woodlands with paths that wind down to Port Navas Creek and Helford River to a private beach, one of its main attractions.

This will be the grand finale of Cornwall Wildlife Trust's Open Gardens scheme this year, during which twelve varied gardens have opened to the public.

Cornwall Bat Group will be at this garden giving visitors a fascinating insight into the lives of these elusive nocturnal creatures.

Pedn Billy will be open to the public on Sunday, October 9 from 2pm to 5pm.

Entry to the garden costs £4 for adults and under 16s go free.

The garden can be found on Bar Road, Helford Passage, TR11 5LF.

Pasties and cream teas by Crantocks Bakery and Roddas will be available and there will also be a plant sale. Dogs are allowed on leads.
