The Maritime Museum has a week of family fun planned for half term with spooky story telling, shadow puppets and creepy craft activities.

Spine chilling tales will be told by the museum's spooky story teller on Saturday, October 22, Sunday, October 23 and Tuesday, October 25 at 11.30am, 12.30pm and 2pm.

Children will also be given the chance to work with local artists to create an enchanting shadow puppet show on Saturday, October 22 and Sunday, October 23 at 11am and 3.30pm.

Every day during half term from Saturday, October 22 to Sunday, October 30 children can also create witches masks, vampire bats and terrifying trick or treat baskets as part of the museum's monstrous make and take activities.

They can also explore the world of Viking myths, monsters and legends in the dragon's den throughout the week, and meet Norse men and women from the Viking Voyagers exhibition on 'Thorsday', October 27 at 11.30am, 12.30pm and 2pm.

All activities are free with a museum entrance ticket and children are able to take part in one creative craft activity per day.

Adult supervision is required.
