Trevena Cross Nurseries have been working hard to capture the magic of Christmas in this year's Santa's Grotto, which will be open at weekends throughout December.

With the goal to be the most memorable grotto experience for children in the area, the garden centre enlisted the help of Helston-Lizard Rotary Club to create a special grotto, which will be open on the weekends of December 3 and 4, December 10 and 11, and December 17 and 18 from 11am.

Adding to the festive feel, there will be a Christmas market made up of around 50 local businesses/traders selling quality food and drink, and a mixture of crafts. There will also be live music and refreshments available, as well as displays of lights, sculptures, gifts, decorations, 'snow' and face painting.

The Christmas market will run from 10am to 4pm, and Christmas trees will also be on sale with Norway Spruce trees available from £20 each, and Nordmann Fir trees from £25 each.

Visits to the grotto will be charged at £5 per child, which will include a gift from Santa. All proceeds will be donated to several local Cornish charities, including Cornwall Air Ambulance Trust and Cornwall Leukaemia Trust.
