Fancy trying your hand at acting? This summer Miracle Theatre is offering free workshop opportunities for adults in various locations across Cornwall.
From April the Redruth based theatre company will be working in partnership with the Workers’ Education Association (WEA) to encourage adults over 19 years old to give theatre a go.
The company will be taking up residence in Redruth, St Austell, St Ives and Penryn, and sessions will be built up of a variety of activities like theatre games, improvisation, techniques for creating physical comedy and developing interesting characters. Skills learnt in these workshops can then be shared with friends and families in the final week.
Courses are free and no experience is necessary, however places are limited so commitment to the full six week course is vital.
Sessions will be led by Miracle practitioners and professional actors for the following dates and locations:
Miracle Space, Krowji, Redruth: April 18 to May 23, Tuesdays 6 to 8pm led by Sally Crooks.
Cornwall College Drama Studio, St Austell: April 20 to May 25, Thursdays 6 to 8pm led by Catherine Lake.
St Ives Infant School: April 22 to May 13, Saturdays 10am to 1pm led by Steve Jacobs.
AMATA, Falmouth University, Penryn Campus: June 8 to July 13, Thursdays 6 to 8pm, led by Sally Crooks.
