What started as a “one-off” event four years ago, the Enys Craft Fair has steadily grown in popularity and promises to be a bumper event this weekend, May 13 and 14.

Organiser Linda Beard said: "Once again in Enys House, we will have our wonderful variety of craft stalls including some exciting new makers. There will be a small craft workshop for children in the hall. Space is limited so please book on arrival.

"We always like to provide something different so this year we are pleased to be hosting an animal charity event in a large marquee."

On Saturday the marquee will house 12 Cornish animal charities including a the Flicka Foundation who will bring a donkey or two along. Other charities taking part include Cornwall Wildlife Trust, Cornish Seal Sanctuary, Cats Protection, K9 Crusaders, Hedgehog Preservation Society, Retired Greyhound Trust, Lonely Pawz, Cinnamon Trust, National Animal Welfare and Bat Preservation Society.

On Sunday the Last Chance Hotel dog rescue will occupy the marquee for their fun dog show when owners can enter your pooches in one or more of the 18 classes, with rosettes for all prizewinners. There will also be a variety of doggy products for sale.

The craft fair, which also runs across the weekend, will feature 50 artisan stalls and also include a kids' craft workshop, wildlife trail, music and refreshment stalls. The whole event is held in the beautiful surrounds of Enys gardens with its acres of bluebells.

Entry costs £5 for adults, £4 for seniors, concessions £2 and under 16s get in for free - card payments are not accepted. The events run from 11am until 5pm on both days.
