The National Maritime Museum in Falmouth is teaming up with the University of Exeter and Bristol's Explorer Dome to provide hands on science shows this half term.

At the Explorer Domes shows, visitors will be able to discover the wonderful world of chemistry through the everyday life of water. The event is a live, expert-led science show with entertaining demonstrations, audience interaction and volunteers will be required.

There are four shows, at 11am, noon, 2pm and 3pm, on February 14, 15, and 16.

Science of the Sea with University of Exeter gives people of all ages a hands-on experience of science and a chance to meet researchers from the Penryn Campus. As well as hearing short talks, visitors can become scientists themselves by taking part in a range of activities and demonstrations. This workshop will be held from 11am on Tuesday, February 13.

Science of the Sea kicks off an exciting programme of school holiday programming for the museum which includes a new Treasure Island-themed Play Zone opening in March, a Pirate School running on selected dates in the Easter and summer holidays and the new Titanic exhibition opening in March.
