Cornwall Wildlife Trust is opening gardens to the public around the county, including in Constantine, Praze-an-Beeble, and Helford Passage.

The scheme begins next month and allows people to visit some of the most stunning gardens in the area, some of which are opening to the public for the first time.

In Helford Passage, Pedn Billy will open on April 22 from 2pm-5pm to display their stunning garden with its 12 acres of wild flowers, beautiful tree specimens, terraced borders, ancient woodlands, and private beach.

Trevoole Farm in Praze-an-Beeble will open to the public for the first time in four years on Sunday July 22 from 2pm-5pm, displaying granite lined flower borders, a vegetable garden, a wildlife pond, and an orchard.

Constantine's Trenarth Gardens will open on Sunday August 5 from 2pm to 5pm to welcome visitors to its four acres that surround a 17th century granite farmhouse with a central courtyard.

The garden features many unusual and rare plants within its listed garden walls as well as a roost of bats and quirky features like a toilet in a telephone box.

Chris Betty from Cornwall Wildlife Trust said: "Our Open Gardens scheme, now coming into its eighth season has been growing in numbers and reputation every year and we are hoping that this year will be even more successful.

"The money raised makes a huge difference to our important conservation work and we are just so grateful to all the garden owners who are taking part this year."

The gardens all have a common theme of providing a haven for Cornish wildlife and the Open Gardens scheme raises vital funds for the Trust’s conservation work protecting Cornwall’s wildlife and wild places.
