Truro’s High Cross NCP carpark is the newest venue added to the Truro Festival line-up for 2015.

An unexpected location to stage a skate park and music event, but this is what the top three floors will be transformed into by local event company Individual Events, during the opening weekend of Truro Festival.

On Friday from 4pm the top floor of the 12 storeys high car park - will be open to skaters, BMXers and scooter riders to take advantage of the fully installed ramps and a new 16ft half pipe until 8pm with an entry fee of £3 and suitable for ages 11 and over.

As the sun sets on the skaters it is the ravers chance to ascend on the concrete ‘club’ for a silent disco. Club MTV will be bringing down DJ’s Rewire and Varski with headliners The Wideboys, famous for the international hit Sambuca, closing out the evening.

Local acts involved will be playing a mix of different genres with Stratus Records opening the night playing their mix of hip-hop and trap then Freerange DJs and Rollers Inc going head to head with funk, house and Drum and Bass.

Adjoining the nightclub will also be a floor dedicated purely to street art where a selection of the Southwest’s best street artists will be creating an urban masterpiece.

The evening will be in aid of LARF Cornwall, a local charity raising money for young adults and teenagers undergoing cancer and leukaemia treatments.

A licenced bar and food outlets will also be on hand. Tickets are available from http://parklifesilentdisco.eventbrite.co.uk for £20 or at Zafiros bar in Truro. Over 16s only.
