Three of St Ives' music pubs, The Lifeboat, The Queens and The Union, have signed up to the 2017 St Ives September Festival.

The pubs have all become part of this year's official September Festival programme as they provide extensive - free - music events throughout the fortnight long event.

Festival chairman Mary English said: "We're delighted to have them on board.

"The free evening music provided in the town's pubs adds greatly to the atmosphere and flavour of the September Festival."

The Lifeboat, Queen's and Union join the Western Hotel which, as well as hosting an extensive array of ticketed jazz and folk events in its upstairs function room, also stages participatory sessions in the downstairs Kettle and Wink Bar attracting both local and visiting singers and musicians.
