Classical music lovers in Falmouth will have the chance to dedicate a live performance from André Rieu and the Johann Strauss Orchestra to a loved one when the renowned violinist streams his concerts from Maastricht at Falmouth's Phoenix Cinema on July 28-29.

The show is called Amore - My Tribute to Love, and although the violinist will be performing in his hometown of Maastricht, the Netherlands in the flesh, fans across the UK can witness a live stream of the performance on the cinema screen.

André said: “To be able to bring the concert from my beautiful hometown of Maastricht direct to cinemas for my fans in the UK every year is such a thrill! My orchestra and I get so excited about our romantic open-air shows, it’s just magical to bring it to the big screen.

"Music is, as they say, the food of love! That is what this show is all about, all types of love. So, we thought what a wonderful way it would be to celebrate this with my British fans than to invite them to submit their dedications for their loved ones, which I shall read out before a very special song in Maastricht that they will see wherever they may be watching across the UK!”

André Rieu is known as the King of the Waltz for his role in spawning a revival of the genre in modern classical music. His Johann Strauss Orchestra was founded in 1988 and is the largest private orchestra in the world today. The orchestra is well known for performing classical works in a light hearted manner, interacting with the audience and putting on a unorthodox but entertaining show.

The stream will be hosted by Good Morning Britain presenter Charlotte Hawkins, and André will be dedicating a song to a UK audience member each night. To submit your dedication visit www.andreincinemas.com/dedication.
