Jon Boden, of Bellowhead fame, is playing the Hall for Cornwall with new band The Remnant Kings on Thursday May 3.

The folk rocker will be supporting his latest, critically acclaimed album Afterglow, which was released in October 2017.

He has been called “one of our most talented singer/songwriters around today,” and will be performing both solo and with a new eleven-piece big band.

His band, The Remnant Kings, features some familiar names with fellow Bellowheaders Sam Sweeney and Paul Sartin taking the stage. Leveret musicians Rob Harbron and Ben Nicholls will also be playing as part of the band, as will Richard Warren from Kings of the South Seas.

The latest album Afterglow will be played in its entirety and will be accompanied by an ambitious light show and a huge sound coming from the 11 piece band.

Jon Boden is a multi-BBC Folk Award winning artist, and has become woven into the fabric of the English folk scene having established his name first as one half of Spiers & Boden, and then as the frontman of one of the most successful English folk bands ever; Bellowhead.
