Deafblind charity Sense, is set to welcome local comedian Johnny Cowling to the stage for an evening of comedy entertainment. All proceeds are to support deafblind children and young people in Cornwall.

Often described as the "warm-up man to the stars" having supported the likes of Johnny Vegas, Ben Elton and Paddy McGuinness, funny man Johnny Cowling has built up an army of fans thanks to his Cornish charm, quick wit, vocal talent and humour.

Described as a pinch of Jethro, a dab of Michael Barrymore, a spoonful of Tommy Cooper and a hunk of Elvis, his topics include the ever changing face of Cornwall, ladies appliances, Cornish family life, holiday makers and much more.

The comedy fundraiser is taking place on Friday, June 12, at 7.30pm at the Penventon Hotel in Redruth.

Tickets are priced at £10, which includes a pasty. To book contact the box office on 01637 830 867 or 07961 884 613.
