The PVH Big weekender is now underway at The Star Inn, Porkellis, and will continue until Sunday, July 26.

The first “PVH Big Weekender” will be held between Wednesday, July 22 and Sunday, July 26 at The Star Inn, Porkellis.

Villagers in Porkellis, near Helston, have banded together to create what they hope will develop into an annual family festival to raise funds to improve the facilities at their village hall.

From this evening until Sunday afternoon there will be live music, kicking off with Nikki Loy at 9pm.

Saturday sees a host of local artists: Thraw’d Together, No Apologies, Matt Blewitt and Karneia amongst others.

The weekend will draw to a close on Sunday with a performance from Zena Smith at 2pm.

There will be some top nosh as well on Saturday with a barbecue and plenty of cake. Kids can enjoy a bouncy castle and face painting. Everyone involved is donating their time for free and all proceeds raised are going direct to support the village hall.

Alongside the other fund raising activities, a Grand Raffle has been organised with tickets available from The Star Inn Porkellis and priced at £1. The draw takes place at The Star Inn on Saturday 25th July.
