A selection of spellbinding storytelling sessions are taking place over the summer holidays at Falmouth’s National Maritime Museum.

Viking Sagas will be told on July 29 by Rattlebox Theatre. These stories are filled with danger, trickery and beheading. So prepare to be thrilled by what you hear of the Norse Gods and their outrageous adventures and war with the giants.

On August 4 a treasure tale inspired by a document the lists buries treasure, nestled deep in Cornwall Record Office, will be told by Mark Harandon.

Story maker Sally Crabtree will be casting her line into the sea of songs and treasure making on August 11. Drawing from the cargo of creativity she will be setting off and taking all with her beyond the horizon of the imagination.

The Fleet of Foot Theatre will be Going Viking and all are welcome to join them on Tuesday, August 18. Enthusiastic story seekers Nelson Fleet and Henry Foot will be sending their battered old filing cabinet into the past to discover all things Viking.

The National Maritime Museum has recently opened their Dragon’s Den Play zone and are hosting a variety of make and take activities too. For more information visit: nmmc.co.uk or call 01326 313388.
