Come rain or shine there is entertainment for the family at Falmouth’s Poly this summer. Their pop-up cinema season that starts on August 5 will be running weekly classic cartoons and family features.

The series will start off on Wednesday, August 5 with the showing of Big Hero 6, an exciting and action packed adventure film with plenty of heart. The story follows robotics prodigy Hiro and his robot companion Baymax.

Wednesday, August 12 will be a Classic Cartoon session with the screening of Wacky Races. All are invited to join diabolical do-badder Dick Dastardly with his sniggering canine cohort Muttley while they race the Wacky Races in their Mean Machine.

The family features continue on August 19 with the screening of Asterix & The Vikings. Viewers are in for a chance to watch how Gaul and Obelix transform a chief’s son into a battle ready warrior – even though he is far from the ideal candidate.

The tip-top cat from the big apple will be on the big screen on Wednesday, August 26. Join Top Cat, or T.C has he is known to his kitty cohorts, as he moves further towards his big deal or swindle on the streets of New York.

The final film of the pop-up cinema season will be Paddington on September 2. Adapted from Michael Bond’s beloved book, Paddington is the magical adventure of a polite young Peruvian Bear who travels to London in search of his home. For more information visit thepoly.com.
