A dance group who have been 'sticking a big fat ray of sunshine into contemporary dance since 2005' are performing at The Tolman Centre this weekend as part of the Carn to Cove dance season.

Spiltmilk are brand new to the rural touring scheme that has so far seen C-Scape and James Wilton dance in the small venues across the county.

This is the very first time Spiltmilk will be dancing in Cornwall and what a treat it looks like they will be bringing to audiences at The Tolman Centre on Saturday, October 17.

Their show, Blast from The Past, is fast-paced and jam-packed with hits from seven decades of blockbusters and bestsellers.

Set to a soundtrack of chart toppers from 1952 to the present day, the show sings the praises of British pop culture and its ability to unite the weird and wonderful ways.

Organisers have said that it sits somewhere between a dance performance, sketch show, TV gameshow and the ultimate compilation album.

On Saturday the group are The Tolmen Centre, where the show will start at 7.30pm, for tickets call: 01326 341353. On Sunday, October 18 there will be at Carnon Downs Village Hall, for tickets call: 01872 862987.
