A Ugandan choir will be holding a concert and a workshop at Falmouth's Methodist church on the weekend, which will be one of their final gigs as they reach the tail end of their Cornish tour.

From 10.30am until 12 midday there is chance to learn African drumming, dancing and singing with the Pearl of Africa Children's Choir, who are part of and fundraise for the Moly and Paul Child Care Foundation, which cares for orphaned children in Uganda.

The concert will begin at 7.30pm and booking isn't necessary.

Organiser Rosemary Byass said: "All proceeds go to the work of the charity in Africa, we thank all the many volunteers in Cornwall who have hosted the choir and contributed this year and in the past to this lasting connection across continents that has given so much delight to the people of Cornwall and resources for education and health for young people in Uganda."
