The countdown to Cornwall Hospice Care's 2016 Santa Series has begun and everyone is invited to take part, whether walking, running or cycling.

The Santa Series events are taking place throughout Cornwall to raise money for the Cornish charity which cares for patients with life limiting illnesses, as well as supporting their families.

Dr Debbie from the charity, said: “Our aim is to help our patients feel better for as long as possible so they can enjoy time with their family and friends, so this is a golden opportunity for you to have a jolly time in the run up to Christmas.

"The money you raise will be used to help pay for the medicines and support our patients need. So thank you for helping us at this special time of year.”

The Santa vs Elves Run will take place in Falmouth on Saturday, December 10 at 1pm, and the Santa Run will take place in Helston on Saturday, December 17 at 1pm.

Entry to the race costs £12 for adults and £7 for children, and anyone interested in taking part can sign up online at cornwallhospicecare.co.uk, or call the Santa Series Hotline on 01726 66868.

All ages are welcome and everyone who completes the route will receive a Christmas medal and mince pie. There are even prizes for the best festively dressed dogs.
