Preparations are well in hand for the switch-on of Redruth's Christmas Lights, which will take place on Saturday, November 26.
A Christmas market will be open during the day at Market Strand from 2pm before the switch-on events begin at 5pm.
As excitement mounts for the start of the procession, crowds will be entertained by Steve Heller from Cornish News, who will be switching on the lights this year.
The procession will then begin at the bottom of Fore Street, leading up to the top of the town and turning left into Shoot Row, before following through Flower Pot Chapel Car Park and back out onto Fore Street.
It will then continue down to the miner's statue where the countdown for the switch-on will begin.
As the procession passes back down through the town, local choir, Ingleheart Singers, will perform a selection of Cornish carols. Everyone will then be invited to meet Father Christmas underneath the miner's statue where he will be waiting with a sack load of goods for children.
