Penzance is preparing to launch the town's festivities with their Christmas Lights switch-on, which will feature a special new light trail, on Saturday, November 26.
For the first time, some of the town's landmark buildings will be part of the Christmas lights display creating a town lights trail for shoppers to follow and see the elaborate Christmas window displays created by artists, as well as the town's traders.
On the evening of the switch-on, shoppers will be given the chance to enter a £200 cash prize draw while following the lights trail, which will flow through some of Penzance's renowned independent stores.
Festive food and drink trails will also lead visitors through a varied and eclectic mix of pubs, cafes and restaurants on the evening, which begins with the Christmas lights switch-on at 5pm.
