A comedian who has been nominated twice for the Edinburgh Comedy Award is set to perform live in Truro.
Carl Donnelly, who has played at comedy festivals in Canada, Australia and New Zealand, will be headlining a comedy event at Zafiros next weekend.
Born in Tooting, South London, Carl made a meteoric rise in his first decade in stand-up comedy performing light-hearted and upbeat takes on depression, divorce and attending therapy.
He has been swooping up awards for comedy since 2006, including the Chortle award for best newcomer and the Leicester Mercury comedian of the year award in 2007.
Supporting Carl at Zafiros will be MJ Walker, Graham Wilkes and Tom Appleton, who are all regulars on Cornwall’s comedy circuit. Emcee for the night will be Tom Glover from Bridport, Dorset.
The comedy event will take place at Zafiros on Sunday, December 4 at 8pm.
