Local resident and businessman, John Miller, has teamed up with artist and curator, Charlotte Pollard, to open a new art gallery on Killigrew Street.

The pair have secured artwork from more than 10 established and talented artists in Cornwall to display a wide range of work at their gallery, the Lizard Lounge Gallery and Creative Space.

John said “This is so exciting for Falmouth, it's very different, a highly functional space available for everyone to use with amazing artwork on display and for sale.

"Its very different to anything I have done before with both Charlotte and I pushing the boundaries of our own experiences to bring this project to life. We love it”.

John and Charlotte decided to open the quirky and innovative gallery space to exhibit artists who are both well known and uniquely talented. There is also an opportunity for the public to hire one of the rooms in the gallery for workshops, meeting events and courses.

Artwork on display at the gallery includes sculptures by Zenna Tagney, paintings by Dan Cole and Jilly Ballantyne, mirrors by Joan Bose and ceramics by Tommie Newlands and Georgina Bignell David.

The Lizard Lounge Gallery and Creative Space is opening on Saturday, November 26, with a preview night on Friday, November 25 from 7pm to 10pm for visitors to meet many of the artists on display while enjoying some refreshments.
