The Cornish Studies Library is giving people the opportunity to dress up in Victorian finery and have a free family portrait in a 'Victorian photo studio'.
As a special Christmas event, families are invited to pose for a Victorian family photo at the drop in studio in Redruth, which features a Victorian style backdrop, a range of costumes and a professional photographer.
Kim Cooper, Cornwall Council Cornish Studies Principal Librarian, said: “We were delighted with how much fun everyone had when we launched the studio earlier this year. We’re looking forward to seeing everyone dress up in Victorian finery and pose – with very stern faces – again this year as part of Redruth’s Christmas celebrations.”
Visitors can get inspiration for their family photo by browsing the library's Victorian photo albums. There will also be children’s craft activities to help enhance the Victorian Christmas theme.
The Christmas drop in event will take place in the 'studio' at the Cornish Studies Library, Redruth on Saturday, November 26 from 2pm to 4pm.
