With the cold winter underway even bugs need somewhere warm and safe to stay, so Cornwall Wildlife Trust are inviting children to learn how to make bug 'hotels' for their gardens.

The event is being organised by Fox Club, the junior membership section of Cornwall Wildlife Trust. It will see leaders Jasmin and Jason Appleby helping children build the hotels with saws, hammers and nails.

Adult supervision will be required at all times at the event, which is suitable for children aged 4 to 10 years.

Bug hotel building workshops will take place on Sunday, December 4 from 10am to 12pm near Illogan, then from 2.30pm to 4.30pm near Devoran.

The event is free but a £5 donation per 'hotel' is suggested. Booking is essential and exact details of where to meet will be given upon booking.

Places can be reserved by calling Fox Club on 01872 273939, or emailing Foxclub@cornwallwildlifetrust.org.uk.
