Top scientists are hoping to solve the infamous Christmas conundrum of how Santa gets around the world so quickly, at a family friendly event in Falmouth.
Scientists from the University of Exeter are inviting families to explore the science of Christmas in a series of 10 minute talks and demonstrations all aimed at children.
The festive event, which is primarily designed to entertain, will help children to understand the science behind Santa's speedy travels, as well as why Rudolph's nose is red and if animals give gifts to each other.
Experts at the event will include Dr Lena Bayer-Wilfert, senior lecturer in molecular evolution, and Dr Ben Raymond, associate professor in microbial ecology and entomology.
The Science of Christmas will take place at The Poly on Wednesday, December 14 from 7pm to 8.30pm.
Tickets are free but booking is essential. Tickets can be booked online at eventbrite.co.uk.
