The award-winning Miracle Theatre turns back the clock 150 years this December with its magical, musical, pantomime, Cinderella.

Following successful productions of Aladdin, Rumpelstiltskin and Dr Livingstone, I Presume? Miracle has turned its attention to the world’ s favourite rags-to-riches fairy tale.

All the familiar elements of this much-loved story are there, but not quite as you’ve seen them before. There's Prince Fairly-Charming, though he’ll probably be hiding as he dreads having to meet his subjects, a brand new friend for Cinders in the form of a small, big-hearted rodent, and Cinderella’ s Fairy Godmother, with her magic skills that can work miracles - as long as she’ s concentrating. Miracle are presenting their pantomime as a show-within-a-show, performed by the Ffitch Repertory Players, an innovative troupe from the Victorian era, renowned for their ramshackle and at times riotous backstage shenanigans.

Miracle’s set will allow the audience to view the behind-the-scenes drama, whilst enjoying the magic of Cinderella’ s on-stage story.

Miracle director Bill Scott said: “This is a warm-hearted and funny show.

“We want to transport people back to the wonderful world of early pantomime, complete with gaslight, periwigs, petticoats and pianoforte, where children and adults are entertained in equal measure.”

Miracle regulars Jason Squibb, Catherine Lake, Hannah Stephens and Tom Adams will be joined by Giles King, newcomer Lillian Henley, and Keri Jessiman, a founding member of Miracle returning after a 17 year break.

Miracle has exchanged its usual touring for a residency of matinee and evening performances at the Princess Pavilion in Falmouth.

Bill said: “The more permanent nature of this production has allowed us to really go to town and create extra lush and lavish scenery and more elaborate theatrical effects than usual, including scenes where the actors appear to defy gravity.”

If you’ re a fan of a real, traditional panto or are looking for an alternative for a giggle-filled night out with friends and family, Miracle Theatre’ s Cinderella could be just the ticket.

Cinderella will be at the Princess Pavilion from December 16 to 31, with adult seats for £15, under 16s seats for £10, and family tickets for £40, plus festive meal deals and group booking discounts available.
