The Cornwall Garden Society’s (CGS) annual lecture series culminates in March with two talks by Nick Morgan, a Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) expert in glass house culture and propagation.

With a 45-year career in professional horticulture including a key role within the RHS as superintendent of its glass and propagation departments, from which he has only recently retired, Nick Morgan’s first talk on Tuesday, March 7, at 7.30pm at The Alverton in Truro, will focus on the New Greenhouse at RHS Garden Wisley.

In his second lecture – How to Make the Best and Most Productive Use of a Small Greenhouse the next afternoon at Trethorne Leisure Park in Launceston – Nick will reveal the secrets of successful propagation and how amateur gardeners can utilise their greenhouses to maximum effect.

There will be a chance to buy plants from a local nursery after the lectures, which are free for CGS members. Non-members are welcomed and donations are gratefully received.

The CGS is a charity that exists to encourage and improve the science, art and practice of horticulture in all its branches; share knowledge about gardening and Cornwall’s rich garden heritage, and conserve the county’s natural environment. The society is affiliated to the RHS and its patron is the Prince of Wales.
