Some of best comedians from the West Country will be visiting Cornwall to perform at a new night held at the Old School Bar and Kitchen in Mount Hawke.

The event, held on Thursday March 16, has been organised by Graham Wilkes who will be performing in the show.

Graham will be showing his absurd, observational wit, with Devon-based Richard James.

Frankie Doré, based in Plymouth, will be the emcee for the evening, and Marcus Gill will be rounding up the lineup.

Headlining the even will be Tom Glover, who has earned recognition from his comedy peers such as Truro-raised comic Matt Price who says Tom is "going to be a comedy monster."

A spokesperson for the even said: "In these hard economic times, venues shut down, change hands and recruit new managers, leaving live event promoters to build up a new audience at another venue every once in a while.

"However the concept of an evening out with a meal followed by comedy enjoyed from comfortable seating has become successful in Truro for the last couple of years and attracted comedians on the professional circuit performing full-length sets."

Tickets are on sale now for £10, and can be bought from the venue or via their website at osbk.co.uk
