A world-renowned musician will be hosting a workshop for local singers in Cornwall, which will explore the unique singing style of the Baka rainforest people from Central Africa.

Hosted by Su Hart, of the Afro-Celtic dance band Baka Beyond, the workshop is open to all singers regardless of previous experience.

Su is an internationally recognised musician who has worked for over 25 years with the Baka people, bringing their unique style of music to worldwide audiences.

The event will be held at Carleen Village Hall, near Penzance, on Monday, March 20 from 10am to 1pm, and tickets cost £12.

Pip Wright, organiser of the event, said: "The singing style of the Baka people is quite magical and enchanting.

“Su will be leading us in creating some beautiful sounds and joyous, accessible rhythms.”
