The Helford Marine Conservation Group is inviting people to join in the annual heron and egret survey which is taking place on the Helford estuary this Sunday, April 9, from 6.30am until 9am and will be followed by an optional full English breakfast at the Trengilly Wartha Inn.
Martin Rule, surveyor from the British Trust for Ornithology, will be leading a walk across the fields beginning at Calamansack, between Port Navas and Constantine, SW 746 281. Listen to the dawn chorus from resident birds and early migrants, and then complete a nest count for herons and egrets for the BTO.
A full English breakfast is an optional extra and will cost £10. Cost of the event is £4, free to HMCG members and children.
