Award winning comedian and poet Rob Auton is set to end his UK tour with a final performance at The Poly.

Rob embarked on a UK tour with The Sleep Show at the beginning of February, and since then has played 14 shows across the country.

The Sleep Show follows on from 2012's The Yellow Show, 2013's The Sky Show, 2014's The Face Show and 2015's The Water Show.

Now Rob is preparing to wrap up his latest tour with a show at The Poly, held on May 26.

York-born Rob, who recently release a spoken-word album entitled At Home With Rob, has built a dedicated fanbase due to his unique outlook on life.

He has been shortlisted for the prestigious Spoken Word Award by the Arts Foundation and received a Best Short Film nomination for The Peamaster.

Alongside performing solo Rob, who is described as 'compelling', 'genuine' and 'baffling', also co-organises and takes part in the best poetry gig in the UK, as voted for by The Times, Bang Said The Gun.

The gig builds on the success of a monthly sell-out residency at London's Bloomsbury Theatre, which also tours nationwide.

In 2013 Rob won the Dave Funniest Joke of The Fringe award for a joke about Chinese Wispas.
