The charity behind Holifield Fair will be running a three day event and camp-over in June aimed mainly at people with additional needs and learning difficulties, their carers and families.

The Big Tent Festival is set at the 32 acre Holifield Farm in Gweek, 2017 will be it’s ninth year, and this year will feature a barn dance, disco, karaoke, and theatre as well as many music, dance, yoga, arts and crafts workshops.

There will be a campfire and camping too, of course, and it is a great opportunity for families and carers to network and support each other.

All energy used on site from is from solar and use of disposable plastic is kept to a minimum.

The Holifield Camping Weekend Cafe will be serving meals, cakes and drinks at a reasonable price.

The organisers would also like to encourage both service providers and service users to network, socialise, camp over, have fun and run stalls if they wish, and welcome any ideas and feedback

The event costs £30 for three days including camping and parking, or day tickets are available for £5 each for Thursday or Saturday and £10 for Friday, while carers go free, and the event is fully wheelchair accessible.

The programme for Thursday, June 15, will include arrivals from 3pm, dinner in the cafe and entertainment from 5pm until 9pm, followed by a campfire and camping.

On Friday, June 16, there will be workshops and entertainment from 9am until 9pm, with breakfast, lunch and dinner in the cafe, and on Saturday, June 17, there will be more workshops and entertainment from 9am until 1pm, with breakfast and lunch in the cafe, and a home time of 2pm.
