A unique collection of modern and contemporary art from local, regional and international artists will go up for auction on October 5 at Truro Arts Company.

The event, organised by and in aid of Merlin MS Centre, has secured work kindly donated from over 40 artists in a variety of mediums. Artists include Turner Prize nominee David Tremlett, Stella Vine, John Brenton, Sean Hewitt, Joe Armstrong, Carl Brenders and Patrick Hughes.

Public viewing of featured artwork will be on display at Truro Arts at 26 River St in Truro for three weeks prior to auction night.

The evening will be led by auctioneer Philip Buddell, and there will be the option of in person, sealed and telephone bidding, and will provide an exciting event for collectors at all levels.

The Merlin MS Centre’s charitable aim is to provide subsidised therapy for people who are affected by multiple sclerosis (MS), however anyone living with a neurological condition who feels they can benefit from the therapies and support offered are welcome.

The purpose-built facilities provide; clinical therapies such as physiotherapy, occupational therapy, sensory integration, exercise classes and podiatry, a range of health and wellbeing therapies as well as respite, counselling and outreach services. The centre also offers a transport service covering most of the county.

Entrance is £5 and includes a catalogue, canapes and a complementary glass of fizz on arrival from 6.30pm onwards.
