A VEGAN festival on The Moor will invite people to break stigmas and take a new look at how they feel about food.

There will be vegan, veggie, and gluten free food stalls from local vendors, and a range of activities including a recipe swap and a fruit & veg lucky dip.

Betty Kelly, from organisers Feel Good Fal, said: “We wanted to create an event that could make a positive difference in the community. Our own interest in healthy eating, as well as our knowledge of vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free diets, provided the platform for this inspiration."

Betty hopes that the event will bring the community together and offer people a chance to learn about alternative diets in a non-judgemental way.

She said: “We’re inviting people to come and have fun, feel good and open their eyes to what ‘healthy eating’ means and why it’s so important for all of us.”

The event is on Sunday April 29 from midday to 5pm. More information and recipes can be found on the Facebook page, and the organisers have also set up a crowdfunding page to support the festival.
