A fancy dress disco organised by the Falmouth and Penryn 1970s Old Skool Reunion Group will be held at Falmouth Rugby Club on Saturday July 7.

The group is inviting people to don their best flares and platform shoes and come along to party to some classic tunes and raise money for charity.

Musical entertainment will be provided by DJ David Kitts who will be playing all the old favourites.

All proceeds raised will be donated to the Little Harbour Children's Hospice run by Children's Hospice South West.

The theme is 60s, 70s and 80s summer, and fancy dress is optional but preferred. People who grew up in that period are especially welcome.

The event is now running for its fifth year, the first fancy dress disco organised by the group being held in 2014. Falmouth and Penryn 1970s Old Skool Reunion Group is a Facebook group dedicated to bringing together the people who grew up in the area and sharing photos, music and memories from the old days.

The group is very active and has over 1,500 members, with many still living in the area but some as far away as Australia.

Doors open at 7:30pm on Saturday July 7, and the disco will run until 1am the next morning. Admission to the event is £5, which will be donated to the Children's Hospice South West, and tickets can be bought at the door.
