A COSPLAY competition and comic fest will be held in Events Square during Falmouth Week to raise money for a charity that supports victims of domestic abuse.
The comic book theme was chosen to “support, rebuild and inspire” victims of domestic abuse, especially children.
True Butterflies was founded by Angela Lowe who experienced domestic abuse herself and found that there was not a lot of support for people in her situation.
The charity offers free mentoring, counselling sessions and recruitment assistance for people who have been the victims of domestic abuse.
Entries to the cosplay competition cost £3 and there is a £100 prize for the winner.
A video production company will have a stand at the event, creating mini action movies of people in their best comic book hero outfits.
There will be retail stalls from companies selling all sorts of comic book merchandise.
