Eden’s newest restaurant is the picturesque Mediterranean Terrace, which is set in the beautiful and fragrant surroundings of the Mediterranean Biome, surrounded by olive trees, herbs and flowers.
The table-service restaurant features a delicious menu of Mediterranean cuisine |including pasta, pizzas and paella.
The dishes all feature fresh local ingredients, including Fowey mussels, Helford camembert, fresh focaccia bread baked at Eden, Cornish coppa ham and Cornish pancetta.
The dessert menu has sweet treats such as affogato with Cornish vanilla ice cream, tiramisu and lemon posset with an Eden-baked shortbread.
There is also an extensive wine list, created in partnership with Wines in Cornwall and representing each wine producing region exhibited in Eden’s gardens, and a full bar featuring beers from St. Austell Brewery.
The new restaurant is major development at Eden and, for the first time, visitors with a pre-booked table can come to dine at Eden in the evening without paying an admission fee to the project.
On some evenings diners will have exclusive access to the peaceful Biome once the site has closed. After the meal, Eden provides an optional complimentary minibus ride back to the car park.
Tables can be booked online for every Tuesday to Thursday between 5.30pm to 8.30pm until October, with some other days available.
