IT is one of the summer’s hottest ticket and the countdown has |offically begun as partygoers and eager fresh-faced recruits dust down their ballgowns or iron their tuxedos for the The Masked Ball.

Organiser Kelvin Batt said: “We’ve got a superb line-up this year with festival stalwarts Groove Armada, Horse Meat Disco, Cuban Brothers, Dreadzone and the Trojan Sound System.”

Although organisers are |keeping a lid on some of the |twisted treats in store, the details of a handful of themed and |curated areas have been revealed.

The main ballroom still exudes an opulence of decadence and style, where Groove Armada will expect the guests to be well turned out and ready to shake.

The terrace ballroom is a new addition to the Masked Ball where dancefloor groove demons the Cuban Brothers, dub juggernauts Dreadzone and a host of select local bands will be cranking up the amps to 11.

Fall down the rabbit hole to the big top where circus performers and funk and soul legends Jelly Jazz can be found.

Cornwall’s Loose People, bassheads and champions of |surreal surrounds, will curate a new out-of-this-world arena entitled A Space Odyssey.

Finally, the Raveyard a |hallowed ground of repetitive beats.

This is the night for ballgowns and tuxedos, a night to dress to impress with excess.

The Sunday Service is also back to carry on the party with a |stellar line-up.

BBC Radio 1 DJ and icon behind Bestival, Rob Da Bank will preach his mischievous musical eclecticism that has made him one of Britain’s best-loved DJs.
