Falmouth duo Lily & Meg are just one of the acts that will be adding their intricate harmonies and beautiful songs to the sound of summer as they play the Port Eliot festival this weekend.

Having a year off in 2013, Port Eliot returns like the festival phoenix it is – colourful, beautiful and just a little bit bizarre!

Undeniably stylish, but oh so relaxed, the festival is a living extension to Port Eliot’s ancient and beautiful stately home and medieval monastery, which sit in more than 100 acres of woodland gardens and park at St Germans in south-east Cornwall.

Camping at Port Eliot is |memorable, whether packing your own tent or sliding into a |shimmering silver airstream |caravan. But for those unsure about a few days under canvas, there are plenty of options, |including traditional tipis and yurts for couples, families or groups of friends, luxury yurtels or beautiful gypsy bowtop |caravans.

Port Eliot is now as obsessed with food, fashion, music and flowers as it is with books, |bringing together the great, good, discovered or on the brink of |discovery.

Just a few highlights from the line-up includes Beth Orton, Gruff Rhys, Slow Club, and Julian Cope in conversation with Andrew Weatherall. You can find foodie heaven at the the new Flower and Fodder Stage, sponsored this year by Fortnum & Mason.

At The Wardrobe Department in the walled garden, Sarah Mower, the British Fashion Council’s Ambassador for Emerging Talent, will assemble an unthinkably glorious and gifted group of Britain’s foremost designers, to create clothes, |accessories and make up for the Port Eliot audience.

It is very tempting to take root at Caught By The River, nestled into its corner of the site down by the Lynher estuary. Run by the blog which celebrates wildlife, music, beer, nature and everywhere in between, the Caught By The River stage hosts some of the finest musical performances and wide-ranging discussions to be had all weekend.

Finally why not tickle the chuckle buttons with a superb comedy line-up including Sean Hughes, Shazia Mirza, Jessica Hynes, Robin Ince, Simon Munnery, John Shuttleworth, Tony Law, Murray Lachlan Young and Elvis McGonagall And all this is just the tip of the iceberg Port Eliot Festival runs from July 24 to 27 For tickets and full festival info see| www.porteliotfestival.com
