The Princess Pavilion |welcomes back one of Cornwall’s favourite sons, Seth Lakeman, on Friday, August 22.

Mercury Prize and Radio 2 Folk Award winner Seth, recently performed alongside the BBC Concert Orchestra at the exclusive D-Day Concert at The Royal Albert Hall in London, joining event hosts Jeremy Vine, Dermot O’Leary, Louise Minchin, and fellow performers Patrick Stewart, Beverley Knight and The Military Wives Choir.

After already completing a sold-out cathedral tour this year and adding two BBC Folk Awards to his collection Seth new dates continue to champion the release of his 2013 album: Word of Mouth.

Seth recruited a selection of guest musicians for the construction of this album, including producer Ian Grimble (The Manic Street Preachers, Cat Stevens).

Make sure you catch him showcasing his sensational music in the intimate setting of the Princess Pavilion.

As ever, his live performance is guaranteed to blow you away.

As if this wasn’t already enough, there’s also the hugely talented Jessica McEvoy acting as support to Seth.

The latest in an increasingly long line of talented young musicians to spring from Cornwall, 18 year old alt-folk singer-songwriter Jessica McEvoy’s whispery vocals and serene guitar melodies are striking for someone so young.
