On September 6, Honour over Glory, a dazzling concert at Truro Cathedral will pay tribute to the sacrifices of those men and women who gave us the freedoms we enjoy today.

As well as the combined, multi-award winning concert bands of HMS Drake and HMS Seahawk, two acclaimed opera singers, Caroline Childe and Cameron Rolls will appear on the line-up.

Caroline and Cameron will sing not only the Opera classics but also music from West Side Story and Les Miserable.

Add to the line-up the Three Belles, an appearance from actor/playwright Kieran Knowles (BBC) and Lieutenant Colonel Stewart Hill Ret’d (2 Worlds of Charlie F) and you have a recipe for a great evening’s entertainment.

Annie Binding, community fundraiser for the Royal British Legion said: “We are all so thrilled and excited about this amazing concert and would urge those people who have not yet bought their tickets to do so while there are seats available.

“The concert programme is full of shade and light and while we are honouring those who gave so much for us, they too would have liked a little bit of fizz and froth on an occasion like this”

The concert is on Saturday, September 6, at Truro Cathedral. Doors open at 7pm for a 7.30pm start.

Ticket prices are £12.50, £15.50 and £18 from the Hall For Cornwall Booking Office, which is online: www.hallforcornwall.co.uk or by calling 01872 262466.
