Tickets are still available to see London indie-pop trio Flowers when they perform at the Shipwrights in Falmouth next Wednesday, March 4.

Following the release of their debut album Do What You Want To, It's What You Should Do in September, the band will make Falmouth the second town on their first ever headline tour of the UK, following a European tour supporting The Pains of Being Pure at Heart.

The band-  Sam Ayres on guitar and synths, Rachel Kenedy on vocals, bass and synths, and Jordan Hockley on Drums - were brought together by Sam’s advert for a singer to make music like "Madonna through a broken tape machine".

They immediately moved in together and spent the following weeks writing pop songs, practicing daily in their living room and recording through the night, barely sleeping with the excitement of it all and amassing a huge collection of over a hundred songs in demo form, which were whittled down with producer Bernard Butler to produce their 14 track debut.

Rachel said: “We were young writing this album (we still are I think), so all the songs reflect the emotions of being young, which covers just about everything to the extreme; loneliness, happiness, rejection, love, torment, excitement."
