It’s time to dress up, get down and go wild over the May Day Bank Holiday at Cornwall’s most colourful dance event.

From dusk ‘till dawn on Saturday, May 2, and noon until midnight on Sunday, May 3, The Masked Ball brings arenas, micro-stages and decadent décor to the coast joined by the finest purveyors of house, soul and funk.

This year’s line-up sees Bonobo returning to his DJ roots alongside the likes of Andrew Weatherall, Norman Jay MBE, Simian Mobile Disco, Joey Negro, Nightmares on Wax and scores of other turntablists extraordinaire across a dozen different venues.

In addition Crazy P, the Cuban Brothers and local favourites Rosie and the Goldbug will all be shaking their thang on the Live Deck.

South West funk godfathers Jelly Jazz will once again be hosting their own marquee - Ezmerelda’s Night Circus featuring Incandesence while Loose People will be banging out the deep house in On The Wonk, their off-the-wall and topsy-turvy-venue.

Hipster hangout Shore’s Ditch will be home to big beards and stellar underground music curated by Jac the Disco, while The Future Garden will see Southampton’s finest house collective hosting their own NYC-style loft party.

The Sir Vinyl Dome will be big-upping the dancehall vibes, and there’ll also be a |transforming outdoor stage in the shape of Mayday Mayday.

If that little lot hasn’t sated your |wanderlust, partygoers will also be step through the wardrobe to visit Narnia - and then come out of the closet in The Big Gay Disco, the Masked Ball’s resident gay club.

Then, of course, there’s the grand ballroom with its breathtaking views over the bay - plus site-wide theatre performances and the 24-hour Camp Cafe chill out area.
