A FOUR piece pop funk band from Falmouth called Stone Roots are hoping for big things following the release of their debut EP Paint the Town.

The energetic group are made up of Holly Turton (lead vocals), Chez Jeffery (guitar/backing vocals), Harry Bosworth (bass/backing vocals) and Will Harris (drummer).

Since launching in April 2014, the band has gone on to support many successful artists including Wille and the Bandits and UB40. Their fresh, original sound draws upon influences from pop, funk, soul and jazz resulting in overall sound that lies somewhere between Amy Winehouse, Sia and Paloma Faith. Nominated by BBC Introducing in the first few months of them forming, the band went on to play a slot on the BBC Introducing Stage at Port Eliot Festival and have since played sets such as the main stages at Heartlands and the Falmouth Tall Ships Regatta 2014.

With a tour in the planning for the summer of this year, this will be a great opportunity to catch the band delivering a soulful, infectious and energetic set made up of original material.

The EP is available online, through iTunes, or physical copies will be on sale at all of their gig dates.
