One of the greatest guitarist of a generation will be performing at The Hall for Cornwall for one night only in October.

Legendary singer song-writer Robert Cray will be brining his mix of good-time, uptown, low-down blues to the Truro venue on October 7.

Over four decades Cray has helped to shape the blues with his soulful and creative guitar work, beginning in the 1980's when his breakthrough album Strong Persuader was released in 1986.

Considered one of the greatest guitarist of his generation, Robert Cray has written or performed with everyone from Eric Clapton and Stevie Ray Vaughan, to John Lee Hooker.

The new tour follows his No.1 success chart success with his 2014 studio release In My Soul, and previous accolades including five Grammy winner, 15 Grammy nominee and success as a multi-platinum selling artist.

Thrilled to be coming back to the UK, Robert said: "For 30 years now, you've made us feel like we're always coming home."

Supporting Robert will be Shawn Jones a musician that is the epitome of American Roots/Rock music. Influenced by greats in rock, rhythm & blues, jazz & country, Shawn grew up in the heartland of Southern California where his father raised him on Hank Williams and he learned from experience how to play and sing the blues.

Robert Cray will be at Hall For Cornwall on October 7 at 7.30pm. For tickets call Box Office on 01872 262 466 or book online at hallforcornwall.co.uk.
